VIDEO: Road along the gas pipeline SRTO–Torzhok

The video shows the construction of a road on soft soil for the construction project of the along-route motorway SRTO-Torzhok (Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Yaroslavl regions) for PJSC Gazprom in 2005-2011.

The client’s initial project involved the construction of a road on a plank flooring made of logs. However, this means high labour costs, low speed and high construction costs.

PRESTORUS offered an optimized solution: construction of a road using the Standard Geocell, laid over a dividing layer of non-woven geotextile. The geocell was filled with local sandy soil.

The SRTO–Torzhok gas pipeline has become an important part of the Urengoy–Nadym–Peregrebnoye–Ukhta–Torzhok multi-line gas transmission system.

In 2001-2020, more than 8 million m2 of PRESTORUS three-dimensional geocells were used at the facilities of PJSC Gazprom. PJSC Gazprom and PRESTORUS, LLC have joint ownership of 4 patents.
